This provocatively named pair of beautiful
orange butterflies has the widest range of any species in the
world, common throughout all of North America and Mexico. They
were among the delights of photographing at Point Lobos State Reserve,
located on the coast just south of Monterey, California. Use
of a telephoto lens and a large aperture separates the butterflies
from the background. |
