Exposure for the soft golden
light of the late afternoon sky throws the Tall Ship "Hawaiian Chieftain" into silhouette. There is nice contrast
between the rich colors and highlights of the foreground water,
and the dark form of the ship framed against the paler, more
distant shapes of the Golden Gate Bridge, and the Marin Headlands
in the background. It was a very beautiful day on the bay in
this scene, taken from San Francisco's Pier 39. |
