Two of San Francisco's most
famous buildings, the Transamerica
Pyramid and Coit Tower, are framed from this vantage point on Pier 39. While
the relative sizes of the two buildings in the picture would
suggest that they are approximately the same scale, the Transamerica
building on the right is actually much larger, and considerably
further away than Coit Tower on the left. A jumble of pastel
buildings clinging to the hillside gives a sort of Mediterranean
feel to the City by the Bay. A relatively fast shutter speed
freezes the seagulls in flight. |
