This view looks down to the ocean from the
cliffs of Bodega Head, which is part of the Sonoma Coast State Beach, in
Bodega Bay, California. Use of a wide-angle lens captures the
sense of the great height of the cliffs, showing the swirling
Pacific surf far below. I liked the contrast of the vivid colors
of the brush on the cliff and the highlights on the water, and
I waited for just the right wave to add the circular composition
to the top of the scene. Choice of a small lens aperture allows
all of the elements of the scene to be in focus. |
