We found this beautiful waterfall in a State
Park in the North Umpqua
National Forest in Oregon. It was perfectly
framed by the greens of the deep forest behind, and the brilliant
colors of the moss on the rocks in the foreground. The diagonals
formed by the hills lead the eye right to the central falls.
A very slow speed exposure suggests the feel of the flow of the
water as it drops into the pool below. A small aperture (and
no breeze) allows everything else in the scene to
be sharp, as well. It was a very magical setting in a most peaceful
park. |
