Years of discarded china and glass pitched
over the cliffs have provided this beach with its most distinctive
feature. The substantial glass waste from this former dump site
has been pounded and polished over the years by the waves, scattering
brilliant gem-like pieces of colored glass among the shells,
sand, and rocks. This jewel-encrusted beach is a most unusual
sight to behold! Afternoon sun and high clouds produce a beautiful
modeling effect on the outcroppings of rock, and form an interesting
composition. Use of a small aperture keeps everything in the
scene sharp. |
