#131 Kelp under Pier     Monterey, California           I was really drawn to the amazing light in this scene! The kelp was reflecting back bright gold, contrasting with the intense colors of the ocean and the highlights of the water bubbles; all in constant motion from the action of the waves. It was just very soothing! I waited for the right composition after each wave would wash under the pier. Use of a small aperture keeps everything in the scene sharply focused.   Kodachrome Professional film, natural light
