Flanked by mosses and ferns, this spectacular
waterfall drops 600 feet [180m] over a sheer cliff, before entering
the Columbia River about 20 miles [32km] east of Portland, Oregon.
Located in a rainforest, Multnomah is the largest of the waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic
Area. Its distinctive arched footbridge
crosses the falls just above the lower cascade. A small aperture
keeps the entire scene in focus. |
