Zebra and Foal |

This Hartmann's
zebra and her foal are natives of the
African savanna, or grassy plains. Zebras are social animals, living
in small family groups within a larger herd. Their distinctive
stripes provide protection against their main predator, lions,
by making it difficult for a lion to find a specific zebra within
the herd. And to answer that age old question: if you were to
shave a zebra, you would actually have a black animal! |
