The Merced
River is the main river flowing through
Yosemite National Park. All of the water flowing over Yosemite's
famous waterfalls will eventually join the Merced. This was taken
on a beautiful winter's day in the Park. There is some sunlight
showing in the highlights on the river, but it is fading rapidly,
as the overcast skies warn of an incoming storm. The strong colors
of the trees and the reflections in the river contrast nicely
with the snow on its banks. |
