This is the spectacular Na Pali Coast on Kauai's north
shore, as seen by boat. The fertile red volcanic soil of the
hills is blanketed with a lush carpet of green vegetation. A
shutter speed of 1/125 of a second helps to minimize the motion
of the boat, and a polarizing filter helps to define the clouds
against the brilliant sky. The shapes of the low-hanging clouds
adds interest to the scene. |
