The intense vegetation framing this bend in
the Wailua River is repeated all over Kauai, with Mt. Waialeale at
Kauai's center claiming the record for the wettest spot on the
planet (450+ inches [11 m] of rain per year). Use of a wide angle
lens with a small aperture makes this scene sharp all the way
out to the Pacific Ocean, just visible on the left. The white
Tropicbird against the blue of the river in the foreground adds
interest. |
