This winter view along the Merced River in
Yosemite National Park exhibits some of the spectacular light that this
park is famous for. The varied colors of the bare branches contrast
sharply with the intense color of the Merced River, the snow,
and the sky. Fog obscures the rest of the Valley on this peaceful,
crisp winter's day. Use of a polarizing filter increases color
saturation in the sky and river. Sentinel Rock is visible on
the right. |
