The most beautiful place on the planet (but
then again, I'm prejudiced). This is the upper portion of Yosemite Falls,
the highest waterfall in North America, with a total drop of
2400 feet [730m]. The large cone visible beneath the waterfall
is caused by mist freezing as it falls. In fact, this snow cone
won't melt until spring thaw. This sunny day in late February
has the cliff tops mysteriously shrouded in fog. |
