I was attracted to this scene by the beautiful
sunlight on the kelp. The backlighting gives an internal glow
to the translucent kelp, and makes it appear gem-like. A polarizing
filter is used to control reflections in the highlights and increase
color saturation. The beach sand colors complement the color
of the kelp nicely. Water highlights add interest. |
