Another great day at the beach! Late afternoon sun adds modeling to the shapes of the moss- covered rocks at this beach south of Jenner, California. The delicate green color of the moss contrasts with the neutral gray of the weathered rocks, in both color and texture. A fast shutter speed stops the motion of the waves and foam, and a diagonal composition adds interest, splitting the scene into light and dark areas that balance each other.
