on the gnarled branches suggests great age and dignity. The play
of sunlight on the many green tones in the forest attracted me
to this scene in Armstrong
Redwoods State Reserve in Guerneville,
California. Even on this bright sunny day, the dense tree cover
allows very little light to the forest floor.
