This photograph of a rushing stream combines
a slow shutter speed, which suggests the flow of the stream,
with a flash, whose high speed captures the individual water
droplets. Together the two different techniques help to define
the motion of the water. The lighter and softer elements of the
stream contrast with the darker and harder forms of the underlying
rocks. The moss on the left adds color and stability to the scene. |
