This apple orchard has since been subdivided and built on, and is indeed lost. The low, late afternoon sun creates long shadows and intensifies the colors in this fall scene. Clear skies and crisp weather were a welcomed change after a series of storms. The delicate cirrus clouds contrast with the strong masses of the meadow and trees.
